Graduating in law from the University of Sydney in 1969, Mr Foley was admitted to practice as a barrister in New South Wales in 1971, and practiced as a Barrister for 38 years. He was called to the Irish Bar in 1989 and admitted as a Member of the Honourable Society of Kings’ Inns in Dublin, Ireland. Mr Foley was admitted to practice in Victoria, ACT and the High Court of Australia.

Mr Foley has over 30 years’ experience in the resources industry and was a founding Director of the Australian Gold Council, the industry body.

Mr Foley is currently the chairman of Australian gold producer Citigold Corporation Limited, a Publicly Listed Company on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). The company is also listed in Dubai and the FSE Frankfurt and Trades as an A.D.R. in New York.

He has a large network of connections in Government, Industry Bodies, and the Investment Community. As a professional advocate he has represented Industry Bodies before various Commissions, Tribunals, and Courts. He has extensive experience in negotiations and representations with both State and Federal Governments.

Prior to becoming the Managing Director of LegalFund, Mr Bruce Dennis was a solicitor in Australia for over 30 years, practising in personal injuries, civil and commercial litigation in Federal Court, Supreme Court and District Court jurisdictions.

Mr Dennis was instructed in his first Class Action in 1986, acting on behalf of 84 Australian passengers injured in the sinking of the Mikhail Lermintov a passenger vessel sunk off New Zealand.

Since then Mr Dennis has been involved in a number of mass tort actions of considerably larger size including actions on behalf of aggrieved shareholders in the cases of Oilfields Group, HIH Insurance, Onetel and Sons of Gwalia.

Mr Dennis was the founder of DC Legal and its predecessor Dennis & Co Solicitors which he commenced in 1980. Mr Dennis is a member of Australian Society of Accountants and a registered CPA. He will be engaged as the full time Managing Director of LegalFund.

Mr Paul Wood was previously a solicitor with commercial law firms in Sydney and London, and a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand, and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1980.

Mr Wood previously held senior positions with investment bankers Trans City Holdings, BNZ Australia, and London City Equities. He has also worked in funds management being previously a Director of the listed funds management company Belmont Holdings for many years. Mr Wood is currently a director of independent corporate advisory firm Fletcher Purdey which specialises in financial advice to smaller listed and larger unlisted public companies.

Mr Wood has an extensive track record and experience in the structuring of commercial transactions, and has worked on takeovers, financing and structuring of major deals and funds management and capital raising for the past 35 years.

Mr Wood’s extensive investment-related experience in the financial sector in particular, and his accounting and legal background, will provide further depth and acumen to the Company’s direction and attaining its ambitions. Mr Wood’s previous directorships of public companies will also provide further strength to the operation and governance of LegalFund.
